Archita celebrated her birthday on Friday by planting saplings

Actress Archita Sahu celebrated her birthday as per the Odia Hindu calendar on Deba Snana Purnima, Friday, with few near and dear ones. Her birthday as per the Roman calendar is June 29.

The actress feels lucky to be born on the Deba Snana Purnima, since it’s an important event in Odia culture. On this day, Lord Jagannath and his siblings go on the Snana Yatra. “I feel blessed to be born on this auspicious day. Since it’s a difficult time, I didn’t celebrate it,” said the actress.

Since it was also the World Environment Day on Friday, the actress was busy attending plantation programmes in various parts of the city. “I attended plantation programmes and planted some saplings. It’s high time we think about Mother Nature and plant as many trees as possible to bring back its original greenery and vigour. I am happy that I planted saplings on my birthday,” she said, adding that she keeps praying for the situation to become normal soon.
