Covid-19: Five more test positive, Odisha tally rises to 154
BHUBANESWAR: Five more persons, all from Jajpur district, tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha, the health department updated on its website on Saturday.
This raised the total number of infected persons in the state to 154. The information and public relations department said the five include three men and two women all of whom have returned from Kolkata recently. All are in quarantine.
With this the number of positive cases in Jajpur rose to 45. Of them 44 have West Bengal travel history. In Odisha, more than 70 positive people have West Bengal travel history, the government authorities said.
Positive cases have been found in 15 of the 30 districts in Odisha. The number of active cases in Jajpur is now 44, the highest among the 30 districts. With 55 people recovering so far, the number of active cases across the state now stands at 98.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has classified Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts as Red Zone. Khurda, Sundargarh, Kendrapada, Koraput, Dhenkanal and Kalahandi have been categorised Orange and the rest Green.
