Fashion Designer Pankaja Sethi appeals all to wear masks
Fashion designer Pankaja Sethi, who normally works with traditional weavers and women in rural areas, highlighted the need of wearing masks in public places. She suggested homemade masks are best at this moment since people can’t go out much due to the lockdown restrictions.
“I am using a mask that I have made at home. It’s a two feet by two feet organic cotton fabric with tissue paper layer inside it. People can make their own masks with clean cloth. They must clean these homemade masks regularly to stay safe,” she said.
She appealed people to understand the need of wearing these masks while going out of the house, as the virus is still there, and more cases are being detected every day. “More importantly, many asymptomatic cases are detected in large numbers, which is a matter of concern. That’s why we must wear masks whenever we step out,” she signed off.
