Father-son on bike shot at for ‘hitting’ car

Bhubaneswar: A father and a son were shot at by a contractor at Sinapali in Nuapada district on Saturday morning after the former’s bike accidentally touched the car of the latter at a traffic junction there.
Police said a heated exchange ensued between the two parties, following which Raja Panigrahi (33) whipped his country-made pistol and fired one shot each at Saroj Meher (56) and his son, Nabaranjan (29). The contractor, who was arrested by Chhattisgarh Police in Deobhog after two hours of the incident, is a resident of Sinapali. tnn
