Lockdown activities of Anu Choudhury
Actress Anu Choudhury has been spending her lockdown time reading books, feeding stray dogs outside her apartment building and communicating with activists over phone.
The actress, who has spent over 20 years in Ollywood and has also done films in Bengali, Hindi and other Indian languages, said that the industry was badly hit during the 1999 super cyclone and it’s a similar situation now, with hardly anyone working. Many technicians and helping hands in the industry are affected badly.
“Since the lockdown, I have been following a regular routine of waking up early in the morning, going for a walk and feeding stray dogs, who keep waiting for me.Then I do some household chores. I also read books, watch films and online series. Most of my time goes towards instructing and coordinating with party workers about various works relating to awareness activities about the pandemic and relief work,” said she.
She said she has been trying her best to help others during this crisis and stand in solidarity with people of the country and the globe. She also shares videos of her creating awareness on handwashing, social distancing and all safety measures advised by the government. She also has been collecting masks to distribute among people who can’t afford and at the same time go out for essential works.
