Mo Sarkar has created a new model of governance: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said the Mo Sarkar initiative has helped create a new model of governance in the state.
During a meeting to review the governance model, which has been introduced in the fifth and current term of the government, the chief minister directed various departments to bring more and more people into its fold.
Mo Sarkar is a feedback based-governance model as part of which the CM, ministers and senior officials seek the feedback of people directly over phone about the kind of services they receive from various government offices. Based on their feedback, the state government takes the necessary steps to improve its service delivery system. As many as 31 departments, including that of finance, works and commerce and transport, have been covered under the purview of Mo Sarkar.
Naveen said the initiative has helped instil people’s faith in the government and government offices, while it has also helped bring about behavioural changes in government officials towards providing various services.
“Mo Sarkar helps to make the administrative functioning participatory as the citizens have the scope to be part of the governance system. Continuous efforts in this direction will help create an inclusive society,” Naveen said.
