Odia celebrities pay homage to former President Pranab Mukherjee

Odia celebrities paid their tribute to the former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, who passed away today at the age of 84.

Actress Anu Choudhury, who is active in politics since the past few years, paid her homage through a tweet. “Deeply saddened by the news. Former President, Bharat Ratna Shri #PranabMikherjee is no more. RIP,” she tweeted.
Filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda also expressed his grief through a social media post. “As a president he was a compulsive workaholic and very less people know this fact that he used to work almost 18 hours a day. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Actor and former MLA, Akash Dasnayak also offered his condolences on the demise of the former President. “A politician par excellence, who has been impeccable in his career. A humble man who shall be remembered always. My heartfelt condolences to his family,” condoled the actor-politician.
Actor SamareshRoutray also paid his tribute to the great leader, who has a connection with Odisha. “We lost a great leader and a highly intellectual person. No one can match his caliber,” said Samaresh.
Actor Sabyasachi Mishra also mourned the death of Mukherjee, who had been undergoing a brain surgery at the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi earlier this month. The government have also announced seven days of state mourning.
