Odisha: Bodies of 3 missing girls fished out

KORAPUT: A day after three minor girls of Dabagandhana village under Nandapur police limits in the district went missing, their bodies were fished out by fire personnel from a river situated on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Puja Tamili (12), Nikita Dalpati (13) and Santoshi Patri (14), said police.
According to police, the trio had left their homes on Monday afternoon to pluck guava nearby the river.
“While taking bath in the river they slipped into the deep water and sank. Their families had registered a missing complaint on Monday evening and we had launched an investigation,” said Kapileswar Behera, IIC Nandapur police station.
“Autopsy of the bodies was conducted on the spot before handing it over to their families,” he added.
