Odisha: Chief secretary asks to implement business reforms action plan

BHUBANESWAR: Chief secretary Asit Tripathy on Thursday reviewed progress of the implementation of district-level business reforms action plan (BRAP) to improve state’s position in the ease of doing business parameter.
Successful implementation of BRAP action points will help improve the state’s rank in ease of doing business rankings, said an official source.
To improve the ease of doing business, the state government plans to eliminate the requirement of renewal of certificates, approvals, licenses from the authorities at the state level. It is also planning to include additional services under the central inspection framework.
Improving state’s position in ease of doing business parameter is one of the top priority areas of the state government to improve the business ecosystem in the state. Odisha has been planning to be among the top three states in terms of ease of doing business parameter.
The chief secretary also reviewed online delivery of services related to ease of doing businesses of various departments. While several services are already made online, more services will be facilitated online.
