Plea to Odisha govt to lift Ravenshaw University gate order

BHUBANESWAR: Students and alumni of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, on Friday visited the Raj Bhavan here to request governor Ganeshi Lal to intervene in the issue of the varsity authorities deciding to close three main gates on Sundays, holidays and from 6 pm to 8 am.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to the governor. They urged the governor to direct the VC of Ravenshaw University to withdraw the order. In a related development, locals staged a dharna on Friday in front of the wall recently built by Utkal University on the side of the VSS Nagar entrance gate.
