BHUBANESWAR: The weekend shutdown imposed in four districts — Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack and Gajapati and Rourkela city has been relaxed till 11am on the Independence Day (Saturday) to allow people to unfurl the national flag in their premises.
The state government on Wednesday issued notification in this regard. The order said congregation of more than 10 persons not allowed at any place while the safety protocols like social distancing, wearing masks, proper sanitization should be maintained.
The state government has imposed weekend shutdown in these above four districts and Rourkela city till August-end in view of steep increase in Covid cases.
Several districts, which have also imposed weekend shutdown in their districts, are also likely to relax on Independence Day.
