Puri’s Jagannath Temple authorities are using traditional pest control methods. Traps will be used to catch rats and cockroaches alive for release. This measure is taken due to a surge in rodent and insect populations. Earthen pots with jaggery and sticky substances are also deployed. Paths used by pests are being blocked to prevent entry.
