BJD programmes to attract youths

BHUBANESWAR: To garner support of the younger generation, the BJD’s youth and students wings have started organising leadership development meetings across the state.
Such meets have been held in seven organizational districts — Deogarh, Sundargarh, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and Sonepur – in the past one week. Party sources said they are planning to hold meetings in 35 organizational districts.
“Youths can play a crucial role in the formation of an empowered Odisha. We are organizing these conventions to develop leadership qualities among them and spread the development message of chief minister Naveen Patnaik,” said Devi Ranjan Tripathy, president of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, the party’s students wing.
Senior party leaders are invited to speak at these events. Issues related to the role of social media and its impact in every sphere of life are also discussed.
