Puri police on Sunday inaugurated a library for its personnel, their children and family members on Children’s Day.
BHUBANESWAR: Puri police on Sunday inaugurated a library for its personnel, their children and family members on Children’s Day.
A class IX student, who is the daughter of a police officer, inaugurated the library on the premises of the reserve police line in the presence of superintendent of police Kanwar Vishal Singh and others.
“We have kept various books on school curricula and other competitive exams. Besides, books on literature, fiction collections and write-ups on the rich heritage of Puri and Shree Jagannath culture have also been kept in the library,” Singh said.
The SP said the library has been opened in a quiet corner of the reserve police line where personnel and their children can prepare for various exams. The library offers free internet connectivity. A computer has been provided for the children to attend online classes or coaching. TNN
