Odisha: Bishnupada Sethi new school and mass education secretary

BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Sunday effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre. Bishnupada Sethi, who is now revenue and disaster management department secretary, is the new principal secretary of the school and mass education department.
Sethi will remain in additional charge of principal secretary, commerce and transport department, and principal secretary of information and public relations department.
Satyabrata Sahu, who is now school and mass education department secretary, has been appointed as principal secretary of revenue and disaster management department.
Raj Kumar Sharma has been appointed as additional chief secretary (ACS), health and family welfare department. He is presently working as agriculture production commissioner with additional charge of ACS (Health and family welfare department) and chairman of the Odisha state medical corporation limited (OSMCL). He will remain in additional charge of OSMCL chairman.
Sanjeev Chopra, ACS (Home department), has been appointed as agriculture production commissioner, Odisha. He will remain in additional charge of ACS (Home) and ACS agriculture and farmer empowerment department.
Madhu Sudan Padhi, principal secretary of commerce and transport department with additional charge of commissioner, land records and settlement, has been appointed as principal secretary, Odia language, literature and culture department.
Ranjana Chopra, principal secretary of ST and SC development, minority and backward class welfare department, will remain in additional charge of principal secretary to MSME department.
Hemant Sharma, industry secretary with additional charge of skill development and technical education department and chairman of IPICOL, is allowed to remain in additional charge of IDCO chairman.
Suresh Kumar Vashishth, commissioner-cum-secretary of agriculture and farmer empowerment department, was appointed as officer on special duty, general administration department.
Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, commissioner-cum-secretary, social security and empowerment of persons with disabilities department, will remain in additional charge of commissioner-cum-secretary, women and child development (W and CD) department. The additional appointment of Anu Garg, principal secretary, WCD department, will stand terminated from the date Sarma takes over.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, IPICOL MD with additional charge of additional secretary of industries department, will remain in additional charge of MD IDCO
