Odisha: Students can get school certificates online
BHUBANESWAR: The state government has decided to give away various certificates and documents to high school students online as part of the ongoing reforms in school education.
Students of government-run schools can avail themselves of documents like transfer and conduct certificates online from March 20, 2021. They can get the online facility at Jan Seva Kendras.
The online programme has been jointly developed by the school and mass education department in association with the Odisha Computer Application Centre and National Informatics Centre.
Initially, only students from classes IX to XII can get the documents online. Later, students of other classes will also get the benefit, official sources said.
Parents said this facility will help them a lot as getting the TC or CC was a cumbersome process. With the Jan Seva Kendras active in most villages, even people in remote areas can get the certificates online. “Students need CC after Class X board exam or if they change schools in the middle of the academic session,” said Krushnachandra Rout, a parent.
