#RathYatra2020: Bahuda Yatra held in Puri today
Lord Jagannath and his siblings travelled back home to the Jagannath temple today from Gundicha temple, where they were stationed for the past week. They will be stationed in front of the Lion Gate or Singhadwara of the Jagannath Temple for the next three days, during which rituals like Sunabesha, Adhara Pana and Niladri Bije will be conducted.

The Bahuda Yatra finished smoothly, as all the chariots reached the Jagannath Temple before 5 pm. As per the arrangements, the servitors pulled the chariots and no devotees were allowed near Badadanada.
The district administration had imposed section 144 of the CrPC to keep devotees away and people across the state had to stay content watching the live telecast.The chariot pulling started at 11.30 am after Gajapati Dibya Singh Deb performed the chherapahanra.
The chief administrator of Jagannath Temple, Krishan Kumar, praised the devotees for cooperating and servitors for pulling the chariots and performing the rituals on time. He also informed the press that the authorities are now focusing on the upcoming rituals. “It’s Sunabesha tomorrow and we will restrict people’s movement near the temple. The live telecast will start around 4.30 pm and will continue for next 2-3 hours till the Sunabesha is done. We will have similar arrangements for the next two days,” he said.
He also hinted that the temple administration would take a call on reopening the temple for darshan soon. Entry of devotees into the temple is barred till Niladri Bije.
