Seven more test Covid-19 positive in Odisha, total touches 68

BHUBANESWAR: Seven more persons tested positive for Covid-19, the Odisha health department updated on its website on Monday. This raises total positive cases in Odisha to 68 as the number of samples tested crossed 10,000 marks in the state.
Of the 951 samples tested on Sunday, five from Bhadrak and two from Balasore returned positive. The government has tested 10,641 samples by now.
Bhadrak is designated a hotspot by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Total positive in Bhadrak rose to eight as three persons had tested positive for Covid-19 earlier. In Balasore, one person had tested positive earlier.
The government said it has continued contact tracing of people who tested positive. “7 New Positive Cases of #Covid19 found in #Odisha. 5 new Positive Cases From Bhadrak. 2 new Positive Cases From Balasore. Total no of cases detected: 68. Contact tracing and follow up action is being done,” the Odisha information and public relations department twitted.

The government on Monday partially relaxed restrictions in 20 of the 30 districts in Odisha except the 10 affected districts. “While the agriculture sector is being cautiously opened up there will not be much change in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as far as rhythm of lives of citizens is considered. The twin city continues to be under lockdown restrictions. Pls continue to observe ‘stay at home & be safe !,” the chief secretary of Odisha tweeted.
