Bhubaneswar: Two held for peddling brown sugar
BHUBANESWAR: The commissionerate police here on Wednesday arrested two persons on charges of peddling brown sugar in the capital city and seized the narcotic substance worth nearly Rs 13 lakh from them.
The accused were identified as Nikunja Jagdev (50) and Dhirendra Jayasingh (38), both residents of Gadisagada area in Puri district. “Our special squad and staff of Saheed Nagar police intercepted the two accused near Rasulgarh. During the search, our personnel seized 130 grams of brown sugar from them,” DCP Umashankar Dash said.
