Lawyers halt work over Covid

Berhampur: Court activities in Berhampur are likely to get affected for the next 25 days as lawyers in the Silk City on Tuesday decided to remain abstain from work till February 5. The advocates took this decision in view of the surge of Covid-19 cases in the district.
“The Ganjam Bar Association (GBA) has resolved to remain abstain from court activities, except bail and stay matters, appeals and revisions, from Tuesday to February 5. The decision has been intimated to the district and sessions judge here,” said Pradeep Kumar Behera, secretary of the GBA. “The GBA took this decision for the safety of its members, people and judicial staff,” he added.
