BHUBANESWAR: As many as four persons were injured after a bus carrying migrant workers met with an accident near Laxmannath toll gate on the Odisha-West Bengal border in Balasore district on Thursday.
Police sources said the bus was coming from Kerala by carrying around 40 migrant labourers. They were going towards Bardhaman in West Bengal. The incident happened at around 10 am when the driver of the bus gave way to other vehicles. The bus skidded off the main road and entered into the earthen road.
The bus lost its balance and overturned immediately. As the bus was in slow speed, passengers got saved from a possible disaster. “Only four people got minor injuries. They got treatment at a local hospital. The bus owner arranged another bus and started it’s journey with all the migrant workers,” said a police officer.
