BHUBANESWAR: All scheduled banks including corporate banks, cooperative banks and regional rural banks in the state would soon start normal functioning with full staff strength in all working days from 10 am to 4 pm.
The state finance department on Thursday asked the state level bankers’ committee and all collectors to ensure normal functioning of the banks. The move is in view of the state government’s decision to allow functioning of all government departments and sub-ordinate offices with full strength during lockdown 4.0.
The finance department said the banking correspondents and customer service points in the state are also allowed to operate from 7am to 6:30pm (except from 2pm to 4pm) for the benefit of the rural customers in non-banking areas.
The banks are currently functioning with 30 per cent of their staff strength in view of the lockdown restrictions.
