Two minor sons kill father in Keonjhar
KEONJHAR: Two minor brothers — aged 15 and 17 — were arrested on Sunday for reportedly killing their 50-year-old father on Saturday night in Keonjhar.
The deceased father has been identified as Lakheswar Munda of village Bodapalasa Munda sahi, under Sadar police station limits, about 7 kms from here.
P J Toppo, sub-divisional police officer of Keonjhar police station, said the murder happened due to domestic violation.
“The minor sons have been detained for reportedly killed the father. If the sons are found guilty, they will be sent to a juvenile home.”
After getting information from the villagers, police instructed them to detain the duo until they arrived at the spot so that they could not escape.
Later, police reached the spot and seized the body. Police said they sent it to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem.
Sources said Lakheswar used to remain drunk and beat up his wife. Sources added that they the sons used to live in another village due to work.
Notably, two teenagers had killed their mother in Bhubaneswar on Sunday as the woman used to torture them in an inebriated state.
